Eating is one of the pleasures of my life, so it’s about time to share with you some of my culinary experiences in Lodz. One of my favorite places is Drukarnia in OFF Piotrkowska which is also one of the coolest areas of the city, with many cafes, alternative pubs and best parties in town.

I’ve been in Drukarnia many times already and every time I had a good time. Last weekend I ate there “Burger in Drukarnia” served with chips and coleslaw. Maybe it was not the best burger of my life, but it was very tasty. The coleslaw salad was a great surprise, because I’m not a big fan of mayonnaise. Well, let’s say the truth, I HATE MAYO, but this time I really enjoyed the coleslaw.
If you like hamburgers, you won’t be disappointed as the meat is high quality.
My friend ordered a vegetarian sandwich and she said it was delicious, although she didn’t like too much the idea of having a poached egg in it. I guess it’s a matter of taste.
My favorite choice in Drukarnia is “Brown Ciabatta with Chicken” which costs just 15 zl. It’s extremely succulent with home-made brown ciabatta, feta cheese, pesto, Caesar sauce, salad and dried tomato. Even though I don’t like so much dried tomatoes, it doesn’t ruin the sandwich.
If you are a Hummus lover (like me), please don’t bother asking for the hummus, because last time I tried it, it was very dry.
Drukarnia is also famous for their breakfast with home-made bread and croissant. I didn’t have the chance to go for breakfast yet, but according to my friends, it’s one of the best places for it. My friends are Polish, so you’d better trust their recommendations for eating.
The atmosphere in here is relaxing and even though the place is full, you don’t feel that it’s really crowded.
The staff is competent and friendly. When you ask to pay separately they never have a long face because of it, not even if you want to pay credit card.
The same menu is available in Polish and English language, which is really useful. In the gallery you can also check the full menu.
